Ryan Davenport
Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor Supervisor
I am a North Carolina Board Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have experience working in community mental health, higher education, school based counseling and private practice work. I currently serve our practice through school based therapy as well as see clients in the office.
I work with all ages, five to one hundred and five. I utilize enthusiasm and encouragement during sessions. I use an eclectic approach to therapy including client centered therapy, solution focused therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, and play therapy with children. I am certified in Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy as well as trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. I use these various modalities to help with trauma, anxiety, depression, grief and loss, focus concerns, adjustments, parenting concerns, self injury behaviors, parental divorce, and self-esteem.
My goal is to help and support you as best I can through our therapeutic relationship. I strive to create a safe, comfortable space where you are able to appropriately process any concern you may have. When you enter my office, you are in the driver’s seat. I am simply sitting beside you, helping navigate as needed and occasionally handing you a french fry while you drive.
Master's degree of Arts in Professional Counseling from Liberty University.
