Robert Wilkes

Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor

I am a North Carolina Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselor. I have worked as a counselor in public school, agency, medical, and private practice settings.

I work with children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of concerns and offer individual counseling as well as marital/premarital and family counseling.

I specialize in working with individuals whose issues include depression, anxiety, grief and loss, as well as life transitions, marriage and family issues, complex trauma, and PTSD.

I take an integrated approach to counseling, drawing upon a variety of counseling theories and methodologies, including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Brief Therapy. I am also trained in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) to assist clients who need to process trauma.

My goal is to help clients of all backgrounds work through past traumas, anxieties, and other difficulties to achieve a better quality of life.
